Course description: Introduction to Agile and Scrum answers the questions "What is agile?" and "How do I do Scrum?" The course explores the core values and principles that drive agile frameworks and provides participants with an in-depth understanding of how these are implemented in the Scrum framework. Additionally, the course provides an overview of Scrum roles, activities, and artifacts and how to begin executing Scrum in your work environment.

The Agile Business Analyst (1 Day)

Course description: This course explores how the skills, tools and traditional responsibilities of a Business Analyst translate when the BA is assigned to a Scrum Team. Through lecture and workshop format, participants will gain answers to questions such as "What is the Business Analyst's role on an agile project?" and "How does the Business Analyst work with the Scrum team?" Topics include: Scrum team roles and responsibilities; Agile Requirements; User Stories and Use Case development; Acceptance Test-Driven Development

PREREQUISITE: This course assumes that participants have a fundamental understanding of agile core principles and Scrum framework; strongly recommended that participants have attended the 1-day "Introduction to Agile and Scrum" course prior to taking the Agile BA course.

SAFe® ScrumXP (2 Days) 
Participants eligible for SAFe® Practitioner (SP) certification

Course description: This course teaches Lean thinking tools, roles, processes, and the software engineering practices necessary to launch Scrum. The course is intended for new teams in an enterprise agile adoption program or can be used to re-baseline existing Scrum teams as required for scaling.

NO PREREQUISITES: This course is intended for new agile teams and existing agile teams requiring a common baseline for scaling.

Course description: This course equips leaders for an enterprise agile transformation by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework, with its underlying principles of lean thinking and product development flow. SAFe® Scrum Master Quickstart (1 Day)

Course description: This course provides the critical skills required to create high performance teams. The course uses Tuckman's stages of group development as the delivery model ("forming-storming-norming-performing"). It includes modules on:

  • Scrum Master as servant leader, coach, and mentor
  • Forming a team by building an effective team structure, being an effective ScrumXP processs shepherd, and fostering collaboration
  • Guiding a "storming" team by surfacing and resolving conflict, dealing with individual performance, and fostering continuous improvement
