Private Cloud - This cloud infrastructure operates solely for an organization. It may be managed by the organization or a third party and may exist on premise or off premise. This cloud usually exists behind the firewall of the organization and the organization’s network administrators manage its hardware and software.
Public Cloud - An organization selling cloud services makes this cloud infrastructure available to the general public or a large industry group. Many vendors, including Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, have invested millions of dollars in distributed datacenters. These datacenters provide the seemingly limitless storage space sold to consumers and businesses. They sell services by subscription, so businesses may scale their consumption to meet changing needs.
Hybrid Cloud - This cloud infrastructure offers the benefits of both. The organization hosts it privately within the organizations walls and in a public cloud such as Amazon or Windows Azure. These environments provide onsite hosting for applications, a failover system, and in the event of spikes in demand, capacity elasticity.
