Vice President of Strategic Development
Mr. Eddie DeVore joined Geocent in 2016 and currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Development. He is headquartered in our Huntsville, AL office.
Mr. DeVore provides business development, capture management, and program management leadership to the sector principals and is focused on business growth across a spectrum of engineering disciplines, primarily with NASA and Department of Defense customer domains. He is known for his ability to evaluate business needs, build strong teams, and define and implement solid systems solutions.
As the Vice President of Strategic Development, he works with sector and corporate leadership on overall corporate strategy and vision consistent with the company's objectives; this includes guiding and mentoring key functions, processes, and metrics across the company for Business Development, Technology Development, Proposal Development, and Management, Recruiting and Marketing.
Mr. DeVore graduated from Troy State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with Computer Science Emphasis. He also is a graduate of the National Defense University (NDU) Information Resources Management College (IRMC) Advanced Management Program (AMP). Eddie is a member of numerous industry, Government, and community organizations pertinent to the work that Geocent manages and pursues.
Mr. DeVore has over 30 years of professional and technical experience in the information systems, software engineering, and military aviation fields. He has a comprehensive systems integration background in both technical and managerial aspects of business with proven leadership capabilities and strong organizational and analytical skills on large-scale programs in support of Government and commercial organizations.
During the last 20 years, Eddie has provided expertise and leadership in project and program management of development and acquisition programs for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), including long term employment with large systems integrators such as Boeing, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), QinetiQ North America (QNA), and USfalcon, Inc.
Mr. DeVore focuses on Geocent opportunities to grow existing work organically, through new business opportunities, by taking current Geocent capabilities to new customers, in nurturing and growing strategic partnerships with our teammates, developing a broader set of prime and subcontractor contracting vehicles, and in adapting the capabilities we have today into enhanced capabilities and entering those new market segments.
Mr. DeVore and his wife Melissa live in Athens, AL, where in their spare time, they enjoy sports and recreational activities at their country home on Lake Wheeler with their family and friends, including their 5 children and 9 grandchildren.
