Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Keith Alphonso serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Geocent. Mr. Alphonso has successfully executed several major corporate initiatives including growing his business unit to more than 100 full-time employees and developing the Integrated Product Team (IPT) program which is a program that provides employees a venue for innovation and internal research and development.
Mr. Alphonso's involvement in complex scientific technology development began in 1989 at the University of Southern Mississippi's Center for Marine Science, where he developed wave-current modeling software and a master's degree in computer science. He worked on the NASA Technical Services contract for five years and received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to the program. In 1995 Mr. Alphonso founded the consulting firm Nation Computer Services and he led that company's 1999 merger with Diamond Data Systems (DDS); DDS and Prescient merged to form Geocent in 2008.
Mr. Alphonso has served in numerous consulting roles on highly technical scientific projects. These projects include developing supercomputer models, developing sophisticated visualization software for meteorological and oceanographic data, and work on complex Internet and Web-based systems for both commercial and federal customers. Mr. Alphonso brought this capability to Geocent and has built an organization around them. As VP and CTO, he continues to advance Geocent's capabilities and product offerings.
