Mrs. Savoie formerly served as Geocent's CEO and Manager. During that time, she was responsible for establishing and guiding the strategic direction of the company with an emphasis on overall growth. Additionally, she focused on creating strong brand recognition for Geocent and its subsidiaries as industry and civic leaders within this region and in other geographic areas where the company does business. In addition to overseeing overall growth efforts by the company, Mrs. Savoie also led efforts to identify and vet companies within targeted industries as candidates for future acquisition by Geocent.
Mrs. Savoie is a past board member and the former president of Each One Save One. As president, Mrs. Savoie led the organization in its mission to recruit, train, screen, place, and support mentors in New Orleans area public schools. She was involved in all financial and business matters, including: hiring, budget development, negotiations, and grant development and management. She was also involved in mentor recruiting and training, fund-raising, board recruiting, public relations, and all other management and executive decisions involved in operating a non-profit. In addition to the Each One Save One Board, Mrs. Savoie has also served on the Ochsner Clinic Foundation Pediatric Board of Councilors and the Louisiana Technology Council Board. She is presently serving on the boards of Geocent and WYES, the New Orleans public television station.
Mrs. Savoie is well known in the community as a civic leader. She has served in numerous civic organizations in the New Orleans region including: The National World War II Museum, the Junior League of New Orleans, the Isidore Newman School, and the Academy of the Sacred Heart. She is also politically active and has worked as a fundraiser and organizer for numerous national, state, and local candidates. Candidates for U.S. President, the U.S. Senate and Congress, and the Louisiana House of Representatives and Senate, as well as Gubernatorial and Mayoral candidates have been assisted by her work. Mrs. Savoie has also worked in the local real estate industry under real estate developer Joseph Canizaro.
Mrs. Savoie earned a bachelor of arts degree from Louisiana State University.
