​President and Chief Operating Officer

 

​Mr. Rick Gremillion serves as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Geocent, and he serves on the Geocent Board of Directors. Mr. Gremillion is responsible for the day-to-day business operations and leading the company to achieve steady annual growth, high customer and employee satisfaction, and continued operational improvements. He has over 25 years’ experience leading professional services and solutions companies that support public and private clients. He is well versed in establishing corporate vision and strategic direction, planning, and execution. 

Mr. Gremillion graduated cum laude from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor's degree in computer science. He began his career as a software engineering consultant and manager for Pellette & Associates. From there he worked for Syscon Corporation and SEMA, Inc.  His projects ranged from nuclear power plants to the development of a financial package for the U.S. Navy (the Navy deployed the financial package worldwide to over 1000 sites and still uses it today). Additionally, Mr. Gremillion worked on top-secret surveillance software programs and many asset management and logistics projects.  

In 1994, he became a partner and Executive ​​​Vice President for Diamond Data Systems (DDS) overseeing all operations. He helped the company grow extensively and developed a high-performance culture. In 2005, Mr. Gremillion was promoted to company President and successfully guided the company though a short-term survival and long-term rebuilding in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. In 2008, he led DDS through a corporate merger with Prescient Technologies to form Geocent. 

Mr. Gremillion is involved in various aspects of the community and is active in the following organizations; member of the Armed Forces Communications, Electronics Association (AFCEA), member of the Navy League, served on the State of Louisiana Workforce Investment Council as appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal; and served on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Technology Council.  

Mr. Gremillion has received numerous accolades during his career including Employee of the Year honors, several letters of commendation, and three prestigious U.S. Navy Plank awards.​
